The BBMP has installed New Signboards in Jayanagar 4th Block Area. While the intention to these boards has been a good one, the boards that have been Installed are of low quality.

Within one week of the boards being installed, the stickers which have been used instead of painting the boards are peeling off due to rain and sunlight. There has been little or no thought given on the quality aspect of this. It has been reported that the local corporator has allotted Rs. 1 Million to install 120 boards so each board has costed more than Rs. 8300. What is the point of spending this amount if the boards can not last for long. We hope the BBMP takes note of this and instructs the contractor to paint these boards or use weatherproof stickers on them.
